Creative Workshops

Art Is Not a Luxury

“Art is not a luxury, but a cup that will carry the water of life to the thirsty.”

Makoto Fujimura

At Woven, we believe workshops are much more than skill-building sessions—they are sacred spaces where creativity becomes a living vessel. Through hands-on art, story, and expression, these gatherings carry the water of life, refreshing hearts and stirring the Spirit within.

Workshops invite us into community, where learning and creating together become acts of worship and healing. They offer more than technique—they cultivate connection, nurture gifts, and reveal God’s presence in the everyday.

When you step into a Woven workshop, you’re not just making art—you’re participating in a Kingdom rhythm of beauty, transformation, and hope.

  • “Held on Saturday mornings as 3-hour sessions”

This workshop is designed for children aged 7–12. Taking place at the Woven Hub and extending into nearby outdoor spaces like the beach and shared gardens. Children will explore God as their Creator and intimate Friend.

Through hands-on creative activities, exploring the psalms, they’ll connect with His creation, nurture their own creativity, and experience the joy of expressing faith through art and nature.

  • Held over three weeks with one 2-hour session each week

This workshop invites you into a creative journey of discovery—exploring how art and creative forms can help you find your voice, analyse your inspirations, and share your story in connection with God and others.

It’s also a space for emotional processing, healing, and honest expression. Rooted in a biblical worldview, we welcome the Holy Spirit to guide us and let scripture ground our creative and spiritual practice.

This workshop also opens space to explore digital creativity, reflecting on how media and art impact our emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

  • Held over three weeks with one 2-hour session each week

In these Workshops we explore different creative mediums, such as clay, drawing, sketching, and colour as ways to communicate with God in prayer. This isn’t about performance of skill but about connecting in the presence with new tools.

Together, we’ll reflect on creativity as a spiritual language, rooted in a biblical worldview, and create space for worship, scripture, and listening to the voice of God through the creative process.

  • 2–3 hour creative workshop

For women and mothers to reconnect with God through art, worship, and community. Each session includes brunch or morning tea, hands-on creative activities, and space for rest and reflection—all grounded in a biblical worldview.

  • Held over three weeks with one 2.5-hour session each week

In this workshop, we explore culinary creativity and hospitality as expressions of Kingdom values—woven into both everyday lifestyle and missional living. Whether it’s setting a table, sharing a meal, or preparing food with intention, the act of hosting becomes a spiritual rhythm of servanthood, beauty, and welcome.

We’ll reflect on biblical themes of hospitality, nourishment, and community, and create space for hands-on creativity in the kitchen—seeing cooking, serving, and gathering as sacred acts that carry the heart of God into homes, ministries, and beyond.

  • Held over three weeks with one 2-hour session each week

This workshop invites participants to pick up their cameras—digital or vintage—and learn to see the world through God’s eyes. We’ll explore photography as a spiritual and cultural practice, where images become more than art—they become perspective-shaping, joy-bringing, truth-bearing reflections of the Kingdom.

Participants will engage in hands-on photo exercises, learn both modern and analogue techniques, and explore how photography can be prophetic, healing, and joy-filled. Rooted in love, integrity, and hope, this creative process draws us to listen, observe, and capture what God sees in the world around us.

  • “Awakened: A Creative Journey of Faith and Formation”

6–8 hour workshop (2–4 hours on Friday and 3–4 hours on Saturday)

This workshop helps participants rediscover their creative purpose through a biblical lens, blending fellowship, reflection, inspiration, and practical application.
