A Multilingual Christmas Album

We are creating a Christmas album titled Emmanuel, featuring songs in multiple Asian languages — beginning here in Malaysia and reaching across the region.
There are many beautiful English Christmas carols available globally. However, there are far fewer high-quality, publicly accessible recordings in Asian languages that clearly proclaim the Gospel here in Malaysia.
Our desire is to help fill that gap. We are beginning production now so the album will be ready for release during the Christmas season.
Why This Matters
For centuries, the story of Christ’s birth has been carried in song and melodies known across cultures, cities and generations, often recognised even by those who may not yet know the story behind them.
In our richly multilingual community, we gather these familiar songs and give them voice in our own languages reflecting the beauty of unity in diversity, many tongues sharing one message of hope.
Christmas Carols every December gently creates joy in everyday spaces through out Malaysia and Singapore , be it malls, shopfronts, cafés, and events. We want them to be heard and encountered in the diversity of language represented in this grand landscape.
Emmanuel means “God with us.”This album exists to express that truth in the languages of Asia.
Our hope is to produce songs that can be played publicly and freely shared throughout Malaysia and beyond.
What We Are Creating
• Approximately 5–6 professionally produced Christmas songs
• Songs fully in one language or creatively bilingual
• High-quality recordings suitable for public play
Languages currently being explored:
Mandarin + Hokkien + Indonesian + Tamil + Japanese + Korean
Additional languages may be considered depending on interest.
How It Will Work
Woven Ministries will:
• Project manage the entire initiative
• Develop the core production concepts (potentially in Collaboration)
• Oversee creative direction and structure
• Coordinate language teams and recordings
This is a volunteer, not-for-profit ministry initiative.
Get Involved
We are currently gathering expressions of interest from singers and musicians across Malaysia. Recording will take place in Penang.
We are looking for:
• Experienced singers (church worship, choir, vocal lessons, performance experience)
• You do not need to be a professional recording artist
• Teenagers and adults are both welcome
• Musicians willing to contribute to recording or arrangement
If you are confident using your voice and have some experience singing publicly or in structured settings, we would love to hear from you.
This project is intergenerational. We believe Christmas belongs to every generation — and every tongue.
This is a volunteer, not-for-profit ministry initiative.

Timeline, Recording & Safeguarding
Recording is expected to begin in April–May, In Penang.
We aim to keep the time commitment manageable and respectful of your schedule.
Total involvement (including preparation, communication and recording) will not exceed approximately 10 hours overall. We want this to be manageable for those who volunteer :)
Actual studio recording time will likely be around 2–3 hours.
Recording sessions will take place in our private home-based recording studio, where we provide a focused, structured and comfortable environment for quality production.
For participants under 18, parental consent will be required, and a parent or guardian is welcome to be present during recording sessions.
We are committed to creating a safe, respectful and well-organised environment for all involved.
Clear preparation materials and scheduling details will be provided in advance.

We believe everyone has a sound. You don’t have to be a professional musician to be part of this journey. If God sings over us (Zephaniah 3:17), we are invited to sing back—through psalms, hymns, spiritual songs (Colossians 3:16), and the new songs rising from our own lives.

Music Production
We partner with artists to bring their songs to life—from raw idea to fully produced track. We love working on bilingual songs and music that spans across genres — not just worship, but anything that carries a message of hope, faith, and the journey with God. Our heart is to amplify authentic voices and make space for stories that need to be heard.

Creative Worship Nights
These are nights where creatives gather to worship through music, art, and fellowship. With space for spontaneous songs, prophetic art, and Holy Spirit-led expression, it’s a time of refreshing and freedom. Whether you’re a musician, painter, poet—or simply hungry to worship—these nights are open invitations to create in God’s presence.

Mentoring
We mentor musical artists, helping them develop both the heart and the habits of creativity. This lab is all about crafting a sustainable rhythm—whether you’re working, studying, or in-between—so you can keep creating with intention. We walk with you to build a vision for your artistry that’s biblically grounded, Spirit-led, and personal.
